How did we manage before the supermarkets and chemical companies sold us 'cleaning products'?

Raiding the past for ideas in eco-living!

During this workshop, we will explore the use of herbs, salt, vinegar and a whole host of other natural cleaning products to reduce the pollution in your home. This workshop will show us how it used to be done - and still can be done!

Ruth is a social historian who specialises in researching and demonstrating domestic history. She has done various projects on the Tudor, Stewart and Victorian times for TV and museums.

She is one of the ‘hands-on historians' who joined the BBC’s 2006 Welsh hill-farm re-enactment.

An active and
creative presenter, Ruth brings fun to these discoveries. Join her to explore the traditional methods of hundreds of years past that are increasingly relevant today!
